As a single mum to 2 teenagers, I am passionate about helping other mums, and their children, achieve their potential and build lives they dream of.
I have worked the 9-5 day for many, many years within government industries. When I became a single mum, I needed a job that I could work flexibly around my children. And then I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) when the kids were just 4 and 6 years old.
Now I needed a job that was flexible around my needs too!
A very, very good friend gave me a life line. She offered me a role as a virtual assistant where I had a set amount of hours to work each week but she was totally flexible on when I worked. If I struggled to work in the morning, I could complete my tasks in the afternoon or evening. Perfect!
When the business was sold, I set up my own virtual assistance business. And I am happy to say it has gone from strength to strength. I even closed my business for a year to deal with breast cancer (Lord! Can I deal with anything else?!) I came back and built a thriving business all over again!
If I can do it, with all these obstacles thrown in my way, then so can you!
